Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Pocono Mountains during the peak of the autumn season. Often called the "Switzerland of America," Jim Thorpe is a Victorian gem nestled in a steep mountain gorge that comes alive in October with vibrant crimson and gold ridgelines. This curated 3-day getaway blends world-class entertainment at Penn’s Peak with the deep-rooted heritage of Pennsylvania's coal regions. From the haunting corridors of the Old Jail to the Gilded Age opulence of the Asa Packer Mansion, you’ll step back into the 19th century at a leisurely pace. Enjoy a nostalgic train ride through the Lehigh Gorge, a scenic trolley tour through the historic district, and the quirky charm of Country Junction.

Tour Includes: 2 nights’ hotel accommodation, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 2 dinners, Admission to The Shawnee Playhouse, Historic Jim Thorpe Trolley Tour, Guided tour of the Asa Packer Mansion, Standard Coach tickets on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, Visit to Country Junction, Taxes & gratuities, and round-trip transportation via Hampton Jitney Motorcoach.

Tour does not include: Gratuity for the tour host and motorcoach driver, which is left to each individual’s own discretion.

Accessibility: This tour visits several historic landmarks nestled in the rugged terrain of the Lehigh Valley. Jim Thorpe is known for its steep, winding streets and original 19th-century architecture. The Asa Packer Mansion may involve navigating stairs and narrow hallways that are not wheelchair accessible. The Lehigh Gorge Railway offers standard coach seating which requires stepping up into the railcar. While the hotel and Penn's Peak are modern and fully accessible, guests should be comfortable walking on uneven brick sidewalks and slight inclines in the historic district. If you plan to travel with a collapsible walker or wheelchair for use at the hotel or shopping stops, please notify us at the time of booking.

After the show, we’ll head to the Country Inn & Suites in Lehighton to check in and freshen up. This evening, we travel into the heart of Jim Thorpe for a dinner included at Macaluso’s. Known for its authentic Italian flair and warm atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to toast to your first night in the mountains.
